A man who is known for his wisdom and kindness – Dr. Mohsin Wali

He is a person who doesn’t need any introduction. Perhaps, I will attempt to give one. Padma Awardee Dr. Mohsin Wali is an astute teacher, a keen researcher, and a kind human being. Born in 1953 at Bijnor, he has always done so much for the welfare of others. He is an Indian cardiologist and a former honorary physician to R. Venkataraman, Shankar Dayal Sharma, and the then Physician to Mr. Pranab Mukherjee. His first assignment as a physician to the President of India was with R. Venkataraman. He was only 33 then. Hence, the youngest physician to serve an Indian President. He is the only physician to have served three Presidents of India. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honor of the Padma Shri in 2007 for his contributions to Indian medicine.

Dr. Wali has been the recipient of many International and National awards. To name some: “Man of Millennium”, ” Hall of Fame”, “SAARC” award, ” Medical Science Excellence Award Institute” and is also honored by Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award for Medicine in 2010 and many more to his credit. Including “Best Physician of India”, “Icon of India”, ” Legend in Medicine” by Times Group, “Oscar of Healthcare” and ” Fit India” award. Yet he believes that titles and awards are not a mark of your success. Your selfless service to mankind is. His vision is remarkable. And his spirit is even more alluring. He has always served the down-trodden and poor of the society with equal zeal, interest, and fervor.

He specializes in Infectious Disease Treatment, Health Checkup (General), Immunity Therapy, Filaria Treatment, Rheumatic Heart Disease Treatment, Vaccination/ Immunization. Beyond affiliation with many hospitals, he has been professionally active in various other ways. He has lectured and toured all over the globe to propagate the message of YOGA and fitness as a part of the fit India campaign.

This learned man has been a member of the Medical Council of India and the National Academy of Medical Sciences. He finished his MBBS at GSVM Medical College Kanpur. After that, he went on to do FRCP – Cardiology (ENGLAND) from Royal College Of Physicians Of Glasgow. He is a living example to others by his belief that complete frankness and generous tolerance are not incompatible. All cannot be generous. It needs stamina, courage, and blessings as well.
